On the London Underground it takes a special kind of wordy ad to hold my attention from start to finish, usually because I've got a book in tow. So hats off to Charlie Bigham's for this little belter, which I happened upon in the depths of Warwick Avenue station. The headline, Countdown to Nuclear Disarmament, immediately captures interest, not least because it's incongruously surrounded by fresh food like baby spinach and a decent looking Parmesan. Revolving carousel of sadness? Read: microwave. If I were a stickler for detail I'd quibble the liberty taken with Dylan Thomas's immortal words, 'Do not go gentle into that good night.' Copywriters enjoy artistic licence too, right?
